The Winterhalter Partial desalination TE 15 is for Winterhalter Dishwashers with built-in reverse osmosis system.
The TE 15 essentially consists of a chromium-nickel steel container and one of the regenerable ion exchange resins inside. The cartridge has a removable lid, and the inlet and outlet lines are fitted with 3/4" The unit is equipped with screw connections. Partial demineralization does not require an electrical connection.
Partial demineralization works on the principle of ion exchange. The filter cartridge contains an ion exchange resin that binds the hardness-causing calcium and magnesium ions and releases the non-hardness-causing sodium ions into the flowing water, thus preventing limescale or boiler scale buildup. The partially demineralized water is particularly suitable for washing glasses.
The capacity of the ion exchange resins is limited, depending on the carbonate hardness of the raw water and the water consumption. The regeneration indicator of the Winterhalter The dishwasher will indicate when the ion exchange resin is exhausted. The cartridge will then be replaced by an authorized service technician.
