The Winterhalter MonoMatik 3 is a fully automatic, flow-controlled water softener that uses the ion exchange principle to transform existing hard water into softened water. When washing dishes in a dishwasher, softening is a basic requirement for good dishwashing results.
The water softener It essentially consists of a plastic salt container, a fiberglass filter cartridge, and a control unit. The device is covered with a plastic lid and is equipped with ¾" screw connections.
The MonoMatik 3 works on the basis of ion exchange. The filter cartridge contains an ion exchange resin that binds the hardness-causing calcium and magnesium ions and releases the non-hardness-causing sodium ions into the flowing water, preventing limescale or scale from forming.
When the resin in the ion exchange cartridge is exhausted, the control head automatically initiates the regeneration of the used resin. The device requires no electrical connection. The device is controlled exclusively by measuring the amount of treated water.
